ABOUT Dahi Papad ki sabzi RECIPE

Moong dal papad sabji is an authentic traditional Rajasthani dish. Vegetables are hardly found in desert area of Rajasthan so this sabji is commonly made in many homes. It makes a delicious and fragrant curry when papads are cooked in spicy yogurt gravy.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Moong dal Papad 4
  2. Curd 1 cup
  3. Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  4. Onion 1,chopped
  5. Hing 2 pinch
  6. jeera [cumin seeds] 1/2 tsp
  7. Methi dana [fenugreek seeds] 1/4 tsp
  8. Kalonji [nigella seeds] 1/4 tsp
  9. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  10. Chilli powder 1/2, tsp
  11. Dhania powder [coriander powder] 1/2 tsp
  12. Chopped green chilli 1
  13. Water 1 glass
  14. salt 1/4 tsp
  15. Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  16. Chopped coriander leaves 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tsp oil in a wok add cumin seeds and kalonji seeds,methi dana then add hing.
  2. Add ginger garlic paste.Saute it.Add chopped onion.Cook it till onion becomes translucent.
  3. Add turmeric powder,red chilli powder,slit green chilli.Saute it for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add dahi and cook masala on medium heat stirring all the time.Add water and boil it on slow heat.Add salt.Gravy is ready.
  5. When you want to serve add freshly fried and broken papad and give it just one boil.Garnish with garam masala and coriander leaves.
  6. Serve this unique sabji.
