Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. urad daal -1 cup(soaked and grinded)
  2. turmeric powder-1 tsp
  3. corriender powder-2 tsp
  4. red chilly powder-1 tsp
  5. garam masala powder- 1 tsp
  6. salt to taste
  7. hing a pinch
  8. some curry leaves
  9. whole red chilly-2
  10. cumin seed -1/2 tsp
  11. methi dana-1/2 tsp
  12. curd-1/2 cup
  13. oil- 2 tsp
  14. water- 2-3 glass


  1. soak the urad daal .after soaking for 1 hour grind daal in grinder and make a fine paste. live it overnight for fermentation.
  2. in the morning daal look like this.
  3. add salt, 1/2tsp coriander powder,a pinch red chilly Powder, a pinch garam masala powder in the daal batter.stir well
  4. Heat oil in a pan. add hing, cumin seed, methidaana, when the seeds crackle afd whole red chillies and curry leaves. add 3 cup of water in pan.
  5. add tumeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, red chilly powder and salt
  6. when the water start boiling take one spoonful of daal batter and carefully drop it in water. drop all batter in pan like this.
  7. simmer over a low flame till it thickens. take curd and beat with spoon and add in the batter. Dubki is ready to eat .serve hot with rice or roti
