ABOUT Bread Curd Upma RECIPE

It is a make- shift recipe but can prove pretty tasty in times of hunger. Easy to make and great in taste. I make it very often for my breakfast.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Brown bread 8 pieces
  2. Small Onion 1 chopped
  3. Fresh Curd 1 cup
  4. Oil 1 tbsp
  5. Red Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  6. Curry leaves 8
  7. Ginger chopped 1 tsp
  8. Green chilli 1 chopped small
  9. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  10. White salt 1/4 tsp
  11. Peanuts 1 tbsp
  12. Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  13. Chopped coriander 1 tbsp
  14. Sugar 1/2 tsp
  15. Pomegranate seeds 1 tbsp
  16. Fresh Coconut chopped small 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Slice bread and grind coarsely in mixer.
  2. Heat oil in a wok ,add Mustard seeds,curry leaves,green chilli,ginger and onion .Fry till onion becomes translucent.Add peanuts.
  3. Now add turmeric powder.Saute well.Add curd stir it on slow flame and add bread mixture. Add salt and sugar. Sprinkle 1/2 cup water.Mix quite well.Add garam masala,pomegranate seeds ,coconut pieces and coriander leaves.
  4. Serve this tangy and sweet upma hot.
