ABOUT Veg Thin Crust Whole Wheat Pizza RECIPE

This is a thin crust pizza with loads of vegetables and cottage cheese.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Pizza Dough
  2. 500 grams Whole Wheat Flour
  3. salt to taste
  4. 1 tbsp Dry yeast
  5. 1 tbsp sugar
  6. 1/4 cup lukewarm water
  7. 2 tbsp oil
  8. For a Quick Garlicky Pizza Sauce-
  9. 6 Ripe tomatoes de seeded and chopped
  10. 1 garlic pod minced
  11. 1 onion minced
  12. salt to taste
  13. 1 tbsp sugar
  14. 1 tsp chilli flakes
  15. 1/2 tsp Dry Orageno
  16. 1 cup tomato puree
  17. 1 tbsp olive oil
  18. For the Pizza Filling
  19. Pizza Dough
  20. 2 onions sliced
  21. 3 tomatoes sliced
  22. 1/2 of each Green, Yellow and Red capsicum sliced
  23. 1/2 cup Boiled corns
  24. 1/2 cup Grated Cottage Cheese
  25. Pizza sauce
  26. 2 tbsp Black olives
  27. 2 tbsp Red Pickled chilli chopped
  28. 2 cups or more grated Mozzarella and Cheddar cheese mix


  1. For the Pizza Dough, take a mixing bowl. Mix Flour and Salt.
  2. Take Lukewarm water. Add sugar and yeast. Let it rise.
  3. Add the yeast water and little water at a time to the flour to form a dough.
  4. Knead it for 10 minutes. Add 1 tbsp of oil, stretch the dough while kneading.
  5. Apply oil on the dough and let it rise double in size.
  6. Punch the dough and and make 2 equal portions of the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes
  7. For the Quick Garliky Pizza Sauce, Take tomato puree, tomatoes, salt and sugar.
  8. Coarsely grind the tomatoes into purÃ:copyright:e. Take a pan. Add the oil.
  9. Add the garlic and onion minced, saute it for 3 minutes
  10. Add the tomato puree, let it simmer on low flame till the sauce reduces a bit and becomes thick and all the ingredients has incorporated well.
  11. Add dry oregano, mix it. Switch off the flame and keep it aside
  12. For the Pizza Filling, grease a baking tray.
  13. Take one portion of the dough and with the finger start spreading the dough on the baking tray
  14. Cover the baking tray with the dough. The dough should be 1/4 inch or less in thickness.
  15. With a help of a fork prick few time on the dough.
  16. Add and spread pizza sauce on the dough. Add the grated cheese.
  17. Then add the vegetables, cottage cheese, olives and pickled chilli one by one.
  18. Add the cheese again and bake at 180 degrees celcius for 25 minutes till the cheese has melted and the pizza bread has cooked in a preheated oven.
  19. Serve hot with Chilli flakes and dry oregano.
