Vada made with udad dal and soaked in curd and spices

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup udad dal
  2. ¼ cup moong dal
  3. salt as per taste
  4. Oil for frynig+1 spoon
  5. Curd 2 cup
  6. Powdered sugar 3-4 spoons
  7. Black salt
  8. Chat masala
  9. Mustard seeds ⅛ spoon
  10. Curry leaves 8-10
  11. Cashew and raisins for garnishing
  12. Tomato Sauce
  13. tamarind sauce

Instructions

  1. Soak both pulses for 2 hours
  2. Strain excess water and grind into a thick batter
  3. Add 2 spoon water if required
  4. Take out in a bowl and mix salt
  5. Whisk for 5 minutes
  6. Heat oil in a wok
  7. Put the batter in medu vada maker and make vada in oil
  8. Deep fry till golden brown
  9. Put vadas in lukewarm water for 15 minutes
  10. Whisk curd and mix black salt,sugar and chat masala
  11. Heat oil and add mustard seeds and curry leaves
  12. Pour into the curd
  13. Squeeze vadas and soak in curd for 30 minutes
  14. Keep in fridge
  15. Before serving take out in plates and garnish with cashew, raisins and both sauce
  16. Serve cold dahi vada
