Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Raw papaya-1 kg
  2. Turmeric powder-2 to 3 tablespoon
  3. Onions (chopped ones)-1 cup
  4. Tomato puree-2 tablespoons
  5. Tamarind puree-2 tablespoons
  6. Ginger (chopped)-1 tablespoon
  7. Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
  8. Black pepper-1 tablespoon
  9. Cloves-1 tablespoon
  10. Cardamom-1 tablespoon
  11. Cinnamon-1
  12. Paprika powder-2 to 3 Tablespoons
  13. Cumin-1 tablespoon
  14. Cardamom powder-1/2 tablespoon
  15. Salt to taste
  16. oil

Instructions

  1. Marinate raw papaya in ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder (15 to 20 minutes)
  2. Heat oil and fry raw papaya.Heat oil in a wok. Add cardamom, cloves, black pepper, cinnamon, cumin seeds and ginger.
  3. Add onions and sauté to golden brown. Add salt, paprika powder. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
  4. Add tomato puree, tamarind puree. Cover and cook then add raw papaya. Finish with cardamom powder.
