Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chicken 1/2 kg
  2. 1 egg
  3. Corn flour 1 tesp
  4. Maida 1 tesp
  5. 2 tesp ginger,garlic and chilli paste
  6. 1 tbsp yogurt
  7. Salt 1/2 tesp
  8. Pepper 1 tesp
  9. Puree of 5 ripe medium tomato
  10. 1 tesp each of ginger,garlic and green chilli minced
  11. few curry leaves
  12. 3 tbsp thick yogurt
  13. 1/4 tesp turmeric
  14. Salt to taste
  15. 1 1/2 tbsp red chilli powder
  16. 1 cup oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl mix egg, cornflour,maida,ginger garlic chilli paste,yogurt ,salt and pepper.Add chicken pieces and marinate for 20 minutes.
  2. Place a deep cooking pan with oil on medium flame.
  3. Shallow fry the chicken pieces ,and place on paper towel to remove excess oil.
  4. 2 to 3 tbsp oil will remain in the pan ,to the oil add minced ginger,garlic and chilli saute for a minute.
  5. Add curry leaves. To this add tomato puree,turmeric powder,salt and chilli powder. Let cook till it becomes thick,now add the yogurt and stir well.
  6. Add the fried chicken pieces and saute till they are coated with the tomato masala.
  7. Remove,serve hot as a starter or side dish.
