ABOUT Matar panner RECIPE

for making matar paneer recipe in a pan or pot: first fry the cumin seeds in a pan. then add the masala paste and saute till oil releases from the sides. add the dry spice powders and stir. add the matar, salt and about 1.5 to 2 cups water. close the pan and cook the peas till they become soft.

  1. Paneer cubes -1 mug
  2. Frozen peas -1 small cup
  3. Chopped onion -3
  4. Chopped green chillies -2
  5. ginger garlic paste -1tsp
  6. Chopped tomatoes -2
  7. Green cardamom -2
  8. Black cardamom -1
  9. Bayleaf-1
  10. Dry red chilli -1
  11. Jeera -1/2tsp
  12. Clove -2
  13. Water -1glass
  14. Salt -2tsp
  15. Turmeric powder -1/2tsp
  16. Oil


  1. firstly, in a large kadai take oil and add chopped onions, ginger and garlic, saute on medium flame till onions turns slightly golden brown, further add chopped tomatoes and saute till they turn soft.
  2. firstly, in the same kadai add oil.further add jeera, cinnamon and bay leaf, add chilli powder and turmeric directly to oil.now added blended onion - tomato paste and fry.
  3. additionally add coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, sugar and salt and fry,furthermore, add 1 cup of water add 2 tbsp of curd and mix.further add peas and add paneer cubes. cover and simmer for 10 minutes
