ABOUT MASOOR DAL CUTLETS ( with cheese & paneer filling ) RECIPE

Made these yummy masoor dal cutlets with cheese and paneer filling. They tasted so good with the cheese melting in your mouth. Serve them hot.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Masoor dal ... 1 cup
  2. Semolina ...... 3-4 tbsps
  3. Bread crumbs .. 3-4 tbsps ( or as needed depending on the consistency of your dal)
  4. Garam masala powder .. 1 tsp
  5. Red chilli powder ........ 1/2 tsp
  6. Turmeric powder ...... 1/4 tsp
  7. Anardana powder .... 1tsp
  8. Salt .... to taste
  9. Oil .. to fry
  10. (For the filling:)
  11. Paneer ... 4-5 tbsps (crumbled)
  12. Cheese .. 4-5 tbsps (grated)

Instructions

  1. Soak dal for a couple pf hours. Cook it with very little water to keep it dry.(it should not be mushy)
  2. Let it cool and add all the mentioned ingredients and mash it well to form a dough.
  3. Take a small portion, flatten it with fingers and stuff it with the filling.
  4. Deep fry the cutlets or you may even pan-fry them.
  5. Serve hot with chutney / sauce.
