ABOUT Mango Custard RECIPE

It is very easy and yammy Indian dessert recipe. It is made from milk, sugar, mango, custard powder, cardamom powder and some tutti-frutti which make it colourful. Here I use vanilla flavour custard powder. If you like then you can add mango flavour custard powder. It is a perfect dessert. You must try it.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 3 ripe mangoes
  2. 500 ml milk
  3. 2 tbsp of vanilla flavour custard powder
  4. 5 tbsp sugar
  5. 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  6. 2 tbsp tri colour (red, yellow and green) tutti-frutti

Instructions

  1. At first, take milk in a saucepan and heat it on a high flame.
  2. When the milk begins to boil, reduce the heat to low and boil it for 10 minutes.
  3. Add sugar and stir occasionally.
  4. Add cardamom powder and again mix well.
  5. Mix 2 tbsp of custard powder with 6 tbsp water in a bowl.
  6. Mix the custard powder mixture into the milk on a low heat and mix continuously with a wire whisk to make it lump-free.
  7. Check the custard using a spatula. The thick custard will stick to the spoon and run a finger at the back of the spoon. Meaning this is the perfect consistency.
  8. Then remove the pan from the heat and put it in a bowl.
  9. Allow the mixture to cool.
  10. As it cools, it gets more thick.
  11. Cover it with a plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for 3-4 hours or till it is chilled.
  12. Before serving peel and chop mango.
  13. Add the chopped mangoes and tutti-frutti to chilled custard and whisk very well to mix.
  14. Now transfer it into a serving bowl and garnish with chopped mangoes and tutti-frutti then serve it.
