Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1/2 cup whole wheat
  2. 1 cup water
  3. 1/2 cup jaggery
  4. 3/4 cup mango pulp
  5. 2 tbsp ghee / clarified butter
  6. 1/4 cup almond flakes
  7. 1/2 tsp cardmom pd
  8. 1/3 cup water (to dissolve jaggery)
  9. Few saffron strands & pistachios,almonds fr garnishing

Instructions

  1. Soak whole wheat in enough water for 10 hrs or overnight
  2. Drain all the water and grind into fine paste using 1 cup of water
  3. Pass it through the strainer & collect the milk in a pan
  4. Also add in dissolved & strained jaggery (dissolve 1/2 cup of jaggery in 1/3 cup of water) syrup to the pan
  5. Start heating it on medium flame while stirring it continously for it gets thick very fast
  6. Once it becomes thick, add in the mango pulp , cardmom pd& stir again well
  7. Stir continously till it becomes little thick & leaves the edges of the pan
  8. Heat ghee in another pan & roast the almond flakes & pour it on the wheat mango mixture
  9. Mix everything well,
  10. Garnish with Almonds, pistachios & few saffron strands
  11. Serve hot or cold
