It is a Punjabi dish that can be eaten with poori

Spicy chole

Ingredients to make Spicy chole

  • Chole (soaked overnight/ 8 hours) 250gms
  • oil 4 tbs
  • Chopped onion 2
  • Chopped tomato 2
  • Kashmiri red chilli powder 2 tbs
  • red chilli powder 4 tbs
  • coriander powder 4 tbs
  • Garam masala 1 tbs
  • jeera powder 1 tbs
  • ginger garlic paste 2 tbs
  • salt as per taste
  • coriander leaves for garnishing

How to make Spicy chole

  1. Soak chole overnight it will be 8 hours for soaking
  2. In a pressure cooker heat oil and add chopped onion let it to golden brown
  3. Then add ginger garlic paste jeera powder and chopped tomato let it till tomato get cooked
  4. Then add all spices and add some water to avoid stickness of spices at bottom Cook it for 2 minutes
  5. After that add soaked chole and salt and add 200ml of water in it and let it for whistle
  6. Cook it for 15 minute 2 whistle on high flame and then another whistle an low flame
  7. After 15 minute check it and garnish with coriandar leaves
  8. Serve it with poori
