ABOUT Green Mango Rice RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Cooked Rice 1 ½ cup
  2. Peeled & grated Raw Mango 1 cup
  3. Coriander Leaves ¼ cup
  4. Peanuts / Groundnuts / Mungfali 2 tablespoon
  5. Curry Leaves 2 tablespoon
  6. Slit Green Chillies 4 to 5 small
  7. Mustard Seeds / Rai ½ tsp
  8. Cumin Seeds / Jeera ¼ tsp
  9. Dry Red Chillies 1 nos
  10. Oil 2 tablespoon
  11. Asafetida / Hing ¼ tsp
  12. Turmeric Powder / Haldi ½ tsp
  13. Salt ½ tsp
  14. Desiccated Coconut / Dry Coconut 2 tsp

Instructions

  1. In a cooking pan take 2 tablespoon of Oil and allow it to heat.
  2. To that, add ½ tsp of Mustard Seeds (Rai), ¼ tsp of Cumin Seeds (Jeera), ¼ tsp of Hing, 2 tablespoon of Peanuts and roast for 2 Min.
  3. Then add 1 small dry Red Chilli, 2 tablespoon of Curry Leaves, few slit green Chillies and mix well.
  4. Furthermore, add ½ tsp of Turmeric (Haldi) powder, 1 cup of peeled and grated Raw Mango and stir for 4 to 5 Min.
  5. Then add cooked Rice, ½ tsp of Salt, 2 tsp of Desiccated Coconut, ¼ cup of chopped Coriander Leaves and mix well.
  6. Toss the Rice nicely until all the Mango stuffing is coated to Rice.
  7. Mango Rice is now ready to serve.
