Ingredients to make Khubani ka meetha

  • 250 grams - Khubani dry ones (apricots )
  • 1/4 cup- sugar
  • Few strands of saffron
  • almonds and dry rose petals ( optional)

How to make Khubani ka meetha

  1. Soak Khubani in water along with saffron strands overnight. Otherwise for about 4 hours in warm water.
  2. Now transfer it to a sauce pan along with water covered on low flame.
  3. Cook till its soft and can be mashed.
  4. At this stage add sugar and cook till you get a syrup like consistency .
  5. Chill for 4-5 hours . Garnish with almonds n dry rose petals . Goes great with vanilla custard and kheer. I served it with phirni.

My Tip:

Add generous amount of saffron strands to get flavour and colour.
