#Monsoon magic mania..Farali Pattice is made during Vrat or Fasting or Upvas. It is a Gujarati recipe which uses Potatoes as filling and outer coating along with Arrowroot as binding ingredient along with mild spices. It can even be had even without Fasting. This recipe is very popular during Navratri or Navratras and also during Janmashtami, Gujarati Shravan month and other festivals. It's preparation is similar to Aloo Tikki except ingredients and it is less spicy. It can be had with Dahi or Curd or with Chtuney or sauce.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 4 potatoes
  2. 2 tbsp starch Powder(Arrowroat)
  3. Oil for frying
  4. For Stuffing 1.5 cup green coconut (grated)
  5. 1 cup roasted peanuts
  6. 1 tbsp raisins
  7. 1 tbsp green chili paste
  8. 1 tsp black pepper powder
  9. 2 tsp sugar powder
  10. 3 tsp lemon juiceSalt to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil, peel and mash potatoes properly.
  2. Lumps are not appearing in potatoes.
  3. Mix starch powder in it. And keep a side.
  4. For stuffing, mix all stuffing ingredients well.
  5. Now make medium balls from potato- starch mixture.
  6. Make small puri with your finger.
  7. Fill stuffing and cover all edge of puri with your finger.
  8. And shape should like ball.
  9. Repeat for other pattice.
  10. Heat oil in a pan at medium flame and deep fry till it becomes crispy at outer layer and golden brown in color.
  11. Serve with curd chutney or sauce.
