Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. For Dosa
  2. 1 cup dosa rice or Sona Masoori rice
  3. half cup grated coconut
  4. water as required
  5. salt to taste
  6. For Chutney
  7. 4 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  8. 1-2 tbsp chopped mint leaves
  9. 2 TSP oil
  10. 3 garlic cloves
  11. 1 inch ginger chopped
  12. Small piece of tamarind
  13. salt to taste
  14. 1 tbsp chana dal
  15. one teaspoon jeera
  16. Water as required
  17. 1 cup grated coconut
  18. 2 tsp oil
  19. 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  20. 1 sprig curry leaves

Instructions

  1. CLEAN AND SOAK RICE FOR 6 HOURS. DRAIN EXCESS WATER
  2. GRIND RICE , COCONUT WITH ADEQUATE WATER TO FORM SMOOTH BATTER
  3. ADD SALT AND WATER TO BATTER. MIX WELL, IT SHOULD BE WATERY CONSISTENCY
  4. CAREFULLY POUR LADDLE OF BATTER ON HOT TAWA AND SPREAD. COVER AND COOK FOR 2-3 MINUTES
  5. DO NOT FLIP AND COOK. FOLD THE DOSA ON TAWA. DO NOT BROWN THE DOSA
  6. HEAT OIL, ADD CUMIN SEEDS, CHANA DAL, GINGER AND GARLIC. SAUTE FOR 3 MINUTES
  7. ADD CHOPPED CORIANDER AND MINT LEAVES, SAUTE UNTIL THEY LIGHTLY WILT
  8. ALLOW TO COOL COMPLETELY
  9. GRIND COCONUT, GREEN SEASONING, GREEN CHILLIES, SALT, TAMARIND AND WATER TO FORM SMOOTH CHUTNEY
  10. HEAT OIL IN A PAN AND SPLUTTER MUSTARD SEEDS
  11. ADD CURRY LEAVES AND SAUTE FOR FEW SECONDS
  12. ADD SEASONING TO CHUTNEY
  13. SERVE NEER DOSA HOT WITH KOTHAMALI CHUTNEY
