Ingredients to make BATA MACHER JHAL / LABEO BATA IN MUSTARD GRAVY

  • Bata fish - 6 pieces
  • mustard paste - 2 tablespoons
  • mustard oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Nigella seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  • sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Green chilli paste - 1 tablespoons
  • salt to taste
  • turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon

How to make BATA MACHER JHAL / LABEO BATA IN MUSTARD GRAVY

  1. HEAT OIL IN A PAN AND FRY FISH
  2. FRY BOTH SIDES AND TAKE OUT AND KEEP ASIDE
  3. IN SAME OIL ADD NIGELLA SEEDS AND MUSTARD PASTE
  4. FRY IT FOR 5 MINUTES
  5. ADD SALT , TURMERIC POWDER AND SUGAR
  6. FRY FOR 5 MINUTES
  7. ADD 1/2 CUP OF WATER
  8. NOW ADD THE FRIED FISH AND COVER THE LID
  9. NOW GENTLY SHAKE THE PAN
  10. COOK FOR 2 MINUTES
  11. DRIZZLE OF MUSTARD OIL AND READY TO SERVE
