Usually garlic breads are made up from maida i tried wheat garlic bread and it's taste is mind-blowing.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2- cup wheat flour
  2. 1/4 - cup lukewarm water
  3. 1 - tablespoon sugar
  4. 1 1/2 - teaspoon instant yeast
  5. 1/2 - salt
  6. 1 1/2 - tablespoon garlic paste
  7. 1 - tablespoon milk powder
  8. 1/2 - teaspoon pepper powder
  9. 1 - tablespoon olive oil
  10. Oregono Seasoning as per taste
  11. chilli flakes as per taste
  12. butter ( for brushing)
  13. Lukewarm water to knead the dough

Instructions

  1. First in a bowl, mix warm 1/4 cup lukewarm water, sugar and  yeast and allow to rest for 10 minutes.
  2. In another bowl stir whole wheat flour and add salt, milk powder, garlic paste and pepper powder .
  3. Once the yeast mixture turns frothy, add flour mixture and knead soft dough using lukewarm water.
  4. Now take out dough from bowl on a well floured surface, apply oil on it and knead the dough for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Now grease the bowl with oil and keep the kneaded dough in it and cover the bowl with damp cloth and rest it for 1 1/2 hour.
  6. After 1 1/2 hour dough will raise double in size, punch down the dough and again knead for 5-6 minutes.
  7. Now divide the dough into 4 equal parts and make balls and allow them to raise for 15 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 200°c.
  9. Now takeone dough ball and roll it out into a circular shape sheet with thickness ¼ inch.
  10. Now sprinkle oregano seasoning and chilli flakes and flip from one side to make a semi-circle and seal the corners. .
  11. Now greased baking tray and sprinkle oregano seasoning and chilli flakes and keep the prepared garlic bread on it.
  12. Brush it with butter, make marks with the help of a sharp knife and again sprinkle chilli flakes and oregano seasoning on it.
  13. Now bake it in pre-heated oven at 200°C for 15 to 20 minutes.
  14. Serve prepared garlic bread with mayonnaise or your favourite dips.
