Chilli chicken is a popular Indo-Chinese dish of chicken. In India, this may include a variety of dry chicken preparations.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 200 gm boneless chicken
  2. 2 tablespoons corn flour
  3. 1 tablespoon rice flour
  4. 1 tablespoon wheat flour
  5. 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  6. 1 cup water
  7. 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
  8. 1 teaspoon chopped ginger
  9. 10 gm green chillies
  10. 10 gm onions
  11. 10 gm capsicum
  12. 1 1/2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
  13. 1 1/2 tablespoons light soy sauce
  14. 1 1/2 tablespoons chilli paste
  15. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  16. 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  17. 1/2 teaspoon crushed white pepper
  18. coriander leaves for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Make a paste of corn flour, rice flour, wheat flour and baking powder using water.
  2. Dip chicken pieces in the paste and deep fry till golden brown. Keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in another pan and add the chopped garlic and ginger, followed by the diced onions, capsicum and green chilli.
  4. Now add both light and dark soy sauce, chilli paste, salt, sugar and pepper.
  5. Add the chicken and mix well. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
