Carrot Halwa

Ingredients to make Carrot Halwa

  • carrots 1 kg
  • almonds-50 gms
  • sugar-200gms.
  • Whole milk( full cream) One and half liters

How to make Carrot Halwa

  1. Peel the carrots and grate them fine.
  2. Place the milk on the stove and let the milk heat.
  3. Add the carrots in the milk and let it simmer, occasionally stirring it.
  4. Cook for 20 minutes on medium heat and see that it doesn't stick to the pan.
  5. Wait till the milk has turned thick and completely condensed.The carrots are also cooked well by then.
  6. Add sugar and keep on stirring on low heat.
  7. When the sugar has melted properly, remove it from fire. Add some ground cardamoms for flavor.
  8. Pour the halwa in a bowl and garnish with chopped almonds.

My Tip:

While serving hot , can keep some cream on the side.
