Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. All purpose flour 1cup.
  2. Soda bicarb 1/2tea spoon.
  3. Baking powder 1/4tea spoon.
  4. Thick curd 1/2cup.
  5. mango puree 1/2cup.
  6. Brown sugar 1/2cup.
  7. Vanilla essence 1/4tea spoon.
  8. butter at room temperature 1/2 cup.
  9. cream for layering:
  10. Full fat cream 1cup.
  11. Corn flour 1table spoon.
  12. sugar 1/2cup.
  13. Vanilla essence 1/4tea spoon.
  14. For Garnishing:
  15. Full cream 1/2cup.
  16. mango pulp 1/2cup.
  17. sugar 1table spoon.


  1. Sift together flour,baking powder and baking soda.keep aside.
  2. Blend butter and brown sugar.
  3. Add curd and mango puree.
  4. Add flour portion by portion to sugar curd butter mix.
  5. Mix vanilla essence and mix all the ingredients by a spatula.dont over blend the mixture but apply "cut and fold " method.
  6. Rest the batter for 10 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile take 1kg salt in a pressure cooker,place a stand over salt and cover the lid without went weight.heat on high flame for 10 minutes.(here colour of salt is changed due to repeated use of the salt ,so in pic salt is looking brown instead of white).
  8. Grease a 6"×6" baking tray
  9. Pour batter in the mould and place in the pressure cooker.
  10. Cover lid without went weight and bake on medium flame for 35_40 minutes.(if using an OTG bake on180°:copyright:for 40_45 minutes or till tooth pick test is done.
  11. After 35 minutes test by atooth pick,if it comes clean ,pastry is ready,otherwise bake on low flame for more 5 minutes.
  12. Pastry cake is ready.
  13. Remove butter sheet .
  14. Put cream on ice.
  15. Blend cream ,sugar powder and cornflour ina bowl on high speed by a hand blender.blend cream on an ice bath,then keep in fridge for 10minutes.
  16. Put mango pulp,cream and sugar in a pan and boil for one minute.remove frome stove and keep the mango sauce in fridge for 10 minutes.
  17. Remove the upper crust.
  18. After cooling of pastry ,cut it transeversely into 2equall halves.
  19. Apply cream on one part,cover from another.
  20. Apply mango sauce on upper half part of pastry and apply white cream on the remaining half part.
  21. Put in fridge for 5 minutes to set.
  22. Cut into 2halves and serve with tea.
