About Mango chhena poda(Roasted mango cheese cake) Recipe

It is not a western cheese cake. It is our very own chhena poda(Roasted cheese cake) from the state of odisha. But this time with a twist,with the flavour of king fruit(mango). It is a wonderful dessert by their own flavour but believe me with the natural flavour of mango it is amazing. It is not just a super tasty dessert but very healthy also. No added sugar,no artificial food colour, no fat and same time it's very easy to make.so please follow this recipe make it and enjoy. Thank you.

Mango chhena poda(Roasted mango cheese cake)

Ingredients to make Mango chhena poda(Roasted mango cheese cake)

  • Fresh man go puree 1 cup
  • Milk 2 litres
  • lemon juice 2 teaspoon
  • semolina(suji) 2 tablespoon
  • ghee 2 teaspoon
  • black pepper powder half teaspoon
  • A pinch of salt

How to make Mango chhena poda(Roasted mango cheese cake)

  1. Boil the milk in a heavy bottom pan,when the milk starts boiling gradually add the lemon juice and stir slowly.
  2. When milk gets curdled turns off the heat.
  3. Now strain the chhena(cottage cheese)through a Muslim cloth.
  4. Mash the chhena properly.
  5. Add mango puree,suji,1 teaspoon ghee,black pepper powder and a pinch of salt to the chhena and mix it properly.
  6. Now grease a baking tin with ghee.
  7. Pour the mixture into the baking tin,put it into a preheated oven at 180 degree for 35 to 40 min.
  8. Check the help of a toothpick, if it is come out clean then it's done. Otherwise bake it for another 5 min.
  9. Let it cool down,take it out on a plate and serve.

My Tip:

In this recipe you can add dry fruits also which i didn't add because i wanted a pure mango flavour this time.
