Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 500g curry cut chicken
  2. 1/8 tsp grated nutmeg
  3. 3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  4. 1 teaspoon coconut pieces for garnish- optional
  5. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  6. Salt to taste
  7. 1 tbsp ghee/oil
  8. To Roast and Grind
  9. 1/2 cup grated Coconut
  10. 1/2 Teaspoon Sesame Seeds
  11. 1/2 inch ginger
  12. 4-5 garlic cloves
  13. 1 inch cinnamon
  14. 2-3 green cardamom seeds
  15. 1 black cardamom
  16. 1/2 teaspoon Peppercorns
  17. 5-6 cloves
  18. 4-5 dry kashmiri chilli
  19. 1/4teaspoon fenugreek seeds
  20. 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
  21. 1.5 teaspoon coriander seeds
  22. 1 onion sliced
  23. 2 tbsp Oil
  24. 3/4 teaspoon saunf
  25. 1/2 teaspoon jeera
  26. 1 small strand mace

Instructions

  1. MARINATE CHICKEN WITH SALT AND TURMERIC FOR 30 MINUTES
  2. HEAT OIL AND ROAST SPICES, GINGER GARLIC UNTIL AROMATIC
  3. ADD ONIONS AND COCONUT. ROAST UNTIL COCONUT TURNS BROWN
  4. ALLOW TO COOL COMPLETELY
  5. ADDING WATER, GRIND TO SMOOTH PUREE
  6. MELT GHEE/ OIL IN A PAN. ADD CHICKEN. STIR FRY FOR 2-3 MINUTES
  7. ADD GROUND PUREE AND MIX WELL
  8. ADD SALT AND BRING TO BOIL
  9. COVER AND COOK UNTIL CHICKEN IS TENDER AND GRAVY REACHES DESIRED CONSISTENCY ON LOW HEAT
  10. ADS NUTMEG AND CORIANDER LEAVES. MIX WELL
  11. OPTIONALLY YOU CAN GARNISH WITH COCONUT PIECES. SERVE HOT WITH RICE
