ABOUT Dragon Chicken RECIPE

Spicy starter with crunchy onion, capsicum and strips of marinated fried chicken.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Boneless chicken 500 grams cut to 1 1/2 "thin strips.
  2. Soya sauce 1 1/2 tesp.
  3. Red chilli paste 2 tesp.
  4. 1 egg.
  5. All purpose flour 4 tbsp.
  6. Cornflour 2 tbsp.
  7. Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp.
  8. Salt as per taste.
  9. Pepper powder 1 tesp.
  10. Oil to shallow fry.
  11. Spring onions chopped to garnish.
  12. For the sauce.
  13. Oil 1 1/2 tbsp.
  14. 2 dry red chilli slit.
  15. Cashew few pieces
  16. 1 medium onion thinly sliced.
  17. 1 medium sized capsicum sliced.
  18. Ginger garlic paste 1 1/2 tesp.
  19. Red chilli paste 3/4 tbsp
  20. Soya sauce 1 tbsp.
  21. Sugar 1/2 tesp
  22. Tomato ketchup 3 tbsp
  23. Salt as per taste.

Instructions

  1. In a bowl add soya sauce,red chilli paste,salt, all purpose flour,corn flour,ginger garlic paste,pepper and egg.
  2. Add chicken and mix well.
  3. Let marinate for 20 minutes.
  4. Shallow fry the pieces golden brown and keep aside.
  5. Place a pan with oil on medium flame.
  6. Saute cashew and red chilli.
  7. When the cashews are brown add ginger garlic paste stir a couple of times.
  8. Add onion and capsicum saute for a minute.
  9. Mix in the chilli paste,soya sauce, salt,sugar and tomato ketchup.
  10. Cook till it turns to a thick sauce,add in the fried chicken and toss it.
  11. Garnish with spring onion.
  12. Serve hot.
