Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Raw mango pieces 1/2 kg
  2. Sugar 2 cups
  3. Water 1/2 cup
  4. Citric acid 1 pinch
  5. Yellow food colour 1 pinch
  6. Elaichi powder 1/2 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Peel and cut 500 grams raw mangoes into small Pieces, steam cook until tender
  2. Set aside to cool
  3. Take 2 cups sugar, add 1/2 cup water
  4. Heat the sugar-water mix
  5. When the sugar dissolve completely, add The mango pieces, bring to a boil
  6. Add 1/4 teaspoon crushed citric acid, a pinch of Orange food colour ( optional ), simmer For 5 minutes
  7. Add 1 teaspoon green cardamom powder, take off Heat
  8. Cool and store in an airtight glass jar
