ABOUT Milk Powder Gulab Jamuns RECIPE

Milk powder is used in place of Khoya. They are soft and melt in mouth dumplings soaked in sugar syrup.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Milk powder 1 cup
  2. Maida 1/2 cup
  3. Ghee 2 Tbsp
  4. Baking powder - a pinch
  5. Sugar 2 cups
  6. Water - 1/2 cups
  7. cardamom powder 1 tsp
  8. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Make sugar syrup of one string consistency.
  2. Knead a firm dough by adding milk powder, maida, baking powder and oil.
  3. Make small balls and deep fry in moderate oil till golden brown, take them out on absorbent paper
  4. Transfer them into hot sugar syrup for an hour.
  5. Garnish with nuts of your choice. Enjoy hot milk powder Gulab Jamuns.
