Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 5 onions, grated
  2. Chicken 1 kg
  3. 2 tomatoes pureed
  4. Finely chopped ginger garlic 1 tbsp
  5. Crushed whole garam masala 1 tsp
  6. Whisked Curd 4 teaspoons
  7. Turmeric 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Coriander powder 2 teaspoon
  9. Chili powder 2 teaspoons
  10. Kasuri methi 1 teaspoon, crushed
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Mustard oil 2 teaspoons
  13. Juice of 1/2 lemon
  14. Oil 4 teaspoons
  15. 1 teaspoon butter
  16. 4 tbsp Coriander leaves for garnishing

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, add chicken, curd ,salt,lemon juice,1/4 tsp turmeric ,1 teaspoon chili powder , 1 tsp coriander powder,mustard oil,ginger garlic paste and mix well. Refrigerate for 3-4 hours
  2. Heat oil in a non stick pan. Add crushed whole masalas and roast for 2 minutes
  3. Add grated onion and saute until golden brown
  4. Add ginger garlic with little water. Saute for 1 minute. Add tomato puree and saute for 3-4 minutes
  5. Add turmeric, coriander powder ,chili powder ,salt and mix well. Cook for 3 minutes
  6. Now add marinated chicken and mix well
  7. Add little water and mix well. Cover and cook stirring occasionally until chicken is done. Add kasuri methi and mix well
  8. Garnish with butter and coriander leaves. Serve hot with roti or rice
