ABOUT Home Made Coconut Milk RECIPE

Making coconut milk at home is as easy as pie. All you need is some fresh coconut, water and a mixer grinder.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 whole coconut
  2. 2 cups hot water


  1. Crack open the coconut shell. Remove the fruit from it and grate into onto a plate.
  2. In a bowl, pour 1 cup of water and set it aside for 10 minutes.
  3. Then, pour it all into a blender and grind it all together.
  4. Using a muslin cloth over a sieve, pour this ground mixture into it. Squeeze out all the coconut milk from the muslin cloth. This is your thick coconut milk.
  5. Again, remove the coconut onto a bowl and pour in 1 cup of water. Set it aside for 10 minutes.
  6. Grind in a blender. Pour into a strainer with a muslin cloth over it. Squeeze out all the coconut milk. This milk will be noticeably thinner. This is your second press and this is thin coconut milk.
