Ingredients to make prawn malai curry in simple way

  • 300 gms bagda prawns
  • 1/2 lime
  • ginger 1" inch
  • cumin 1 tspn
  • pepper corn 10
  • Dry red chillies 5
  • cloves 6
  • cardamom 6
  • cinnamon 2" sticks
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tspn
  • red chilly powder 1/2 tspn
  • slited green chillies 3/4
  • salt
  • sugar(optional)
  • coconut Milk 1 Cup
  • onion 1 thinly sliced
  • mustard oil
  • ghee 1 tspn hipped

How to make prawn malai curry in simple way

  1. at first clean,devein, wash the prawns, smear salt,turmeric powder keep aside
  2. ground the ginger,cumin,pepper,dried red chilly into a fine paste
  3. now ground the cardamom,cloves,cinnamon into a very fine paste
  4. heat mustard oil in a kadai,add bay leaves
  5. add the the onions into thee oil,fry till it gets pinkish in colour
  6. add thd first grounded pastes, add salt in this time. fry 2-3 min in low flame
  7. now add the prawns over the masala, add some more oil into it
  8. saute in high flame for 3 min
  9. when all the spices will be melted altogethe,add coconut oil and slited green chillies
  10. adjust seasonings, put a cover
  11. continue to cook for 5 min in high flame,then 2 min in medium flame.
  12. switch off the flame.
  13. scrap the curry from sides & mix properly
  14. now add the lime juice of 1/2 lime, mix
  15. at last add the ghee & grounded garam masala paste,stir with the gravy,keep a lid for few min.
  16. serve with hot rice

My Tip:

dont cook the garam masala paste & ghee.. add these raw into the curry to bring out more flavour.
