Delicious cake made from fresh malai.

Malai Cake

Ingredients to make Malai Cake

  • maida 1 cup
  • sugar 1 cup
  • Milk 1/2 - 3/4 cup
  • Fresh malai 1 cup
  • Baking Powder 1 Tsp
  • baking soda 1 Tsp
  • salt a pinch
  • cardamom powder 1 tsp

How to make Malai Cake

  1. Sieve maida, baking powder, baking soda, cardamom powder, salt thrice to in corporate air.
  2. Mix malai and sugar well. Do not over do it.
  3. Mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients.
  4. Preheat kadai for 10 minutes on high flame with a perforated plate in it.
  5. Pour cake in a tin and place it the preheated kadahi for 30- 35 minutes on medium low flame till done.
  6. Check with a toothpick.
  7. After cooling for 30 minutes. Then take out the cake and serve.

My Tip:

Cover the Kadahi/Wok with lid while cooking do not open it in between.
