ABOUT Coconut Chutney RECIPE

Coconut Chutney is common in South India. It serves as a side dish. This is my customized recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup grated coconut
  2. 1 tablespoon roasted chana (black gram)
  3. 2 tablespoon coriander leaves
  4. 1-inch ginger
  5. 2 green chili
  6. salt to taste
  7. 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  8. 1 teaspoon oil
  9. 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  10. 1 teaspoon urad dal
  11. 3-4 curry leaves
  12. 2 dry red chili

Instructions

  1. Put the grated coconut and roasted chana, ginger, green chili, coriander leaves and salt in a blender and grind to make a fine paste.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds.
  3. When seeds crackle, add urad dal, curry leaves, dry red chili and mix well.
  4. Now add this in the paste and now add lemon juice.
  5. Now chutney is ready to serve.
