Ingredients Serving: 7

  1. 1 cup toovar dal
  2. 1/2 cup fresh grated coconut
  3. 1/2 tsp turmeric
  4. 2 tsp coriander pd
  5. 2 tsp red chilly pd
  6. Salt as per taste
  7. 1 cup mixed chopped vegetables ( brinjal, potaoes, drumsticks, cauliflower, carrot, capsicum)
  8. 1/4 cup chopped onion
  9. 1 medium sized chopped tomato
  10. Water as needed
  11. 1 green chilly
  12. Few chopped Coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. Soak dal in water for 20mins
  2. Wash and drain the dal
  3. In cooker add salt, dal, a pinch turmeric and water and give one whistle
  4. For coconut masala paste : add coconut, turmeric, chilly pd, coriander pd add 1/4 cup water in mixer grinder & make coarse paste of this (paste must b like chutney consistency)
  5. Heat wok add all chopped vegetables, chopped onion, chopped green chilly, chopped tomatoes, coriander leaves, salt, grinded coconut paste, boiled dal,stir everything well, add 1/2 cup water (or little less) boil all this for 10-12 mins or till all veggies r fully cooked.switch off the flame
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves & serve it with steam rice
