Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 2 cups All purpose flour
  2. 3/4 cup Milk
  3. 1/4 cup butter
  4. 2 tbsp Sugar
  5. 1 tsp yeast
  6. 1/2 tsp Salt

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk to lukewarm. Melt the butter. Take a big bowl and mix together flour, sugar, salt, yeast and melted butter.
  2. Make a soft dough using the milk. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes. Roll out the dough to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut out shapes using a donut cutter.
  3. Put them on a greased baking tray. Cover with a damp cloth and leave to rise for about an hour.
  4. Heat some oil really well. Turn down the heat and then deep fry the donuts.
  5. You can decorate the donuts as you wish. I have done it two ways: roll them in castor sugar or dip them in chocolate ganache.
