An authentic odiya cuisin cooked with dal and vegetables together which is extremely healthy and taste is just awesome

Dalma

Ingredients to make Dalma

  • dal 1 cup
  • potatoes 2 cut into big sizes
  • raw papaya 50 gm cut into big sizes
  • purple yam 50 gm cut into pieces
  • raw banana 1 cut into pieces
  • pumpkin 50 gms cut into big sizes
  • tomato 2 cut into 4 pieces
  • beans 4-5
  • ginger 1 inch piece grated
  • desi ghee 1 tsp
  • panch phoran 1 tsp
  • zeera 2 tablespoon
  • red chilli 2-3
  • grated coconut 1/2 cup
  • coriander leaves

How to make Dalma

  1. in a pressure cooker boil dal,all the vegetables except ginger with 4 cups of water..
  2. after 1 whistle swich off the gas
  3. in a pan dry roast cumin seeds and red chilli and grind it coarsely
  4. now for the tadka take a pan..add ghee and splutter panch phoran..add ginger and saute
  5. now mix this tadka to the dal..
  6. add the cumin powder,coriander leaves and coconut to the dal and mix well
  7. Dalma is ready

My Tip:

As it is purely satwik food u can have it in ur brat days..
