ABOUT Mango Daliya ( with a wicked hint of Chilis ) RECIPE

A simple high fiber and low calorie dessert with the added zing of Chill's!!

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1/3 cup Daliya/Cracked wheat
  2. 1/2 cup low fat Milk
  3. 1 tsp Honey
  4. 2 tsp finely chopped ripe Mango
  5. 3-4 tbsp ripe Mango chunks
  6. 1/2 of a Red Chili
  7. Mint for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Dry roast cracked wheat/daliya raw smell wafts. Slit, deseed and chop chili into fine pieces.
  2. Add 1¼ cups of water along with daliya to pressure cooker. Cook for 3-4 whistles.
  3. Once the steam settles add 1.2 cup milk and simmer it for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Take this out into a mixing bowl and add in honey, chopped red chili and finely chopped mango. Gently combine.
  5. Transfer this to serving dish and garnish with mango chunks and mint.
  6. You can serve immediately or by chilling it for 10 minutes in fridge.
