ABOUT Sweet coconut and oats Paratha RECIPE

This is a great combination of coconut and oats. Coconut and sugar stuffed paratha with cardamom flavour can be had for breakfast or in evening as a quick healthy snack.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 tablespoon - coconut grated
  2. 1 tablespoon - oats
  3. 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
  4. 2 tablespoon - powder sugar
  5. Ghee for frying
  6. 2 cup Whole wheat flour
  7. 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, add some whole wheat flour, salt and add enough water to make a soft dough. Knead well. Add one teaspoon ghee and again knead well.
  2. Cover and rest the dough for 15 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, add oats, ground coconut, cardamom powder and sugar and mix well. Add little water to this mixture for binding and keep aside.
  4. Now take little dough, make it into a small roundel and spread the dough into a small disc.
  5. Place the appropriate amount of coconut and oats mixture on the disc and seal it properly and then roll out the paratha.
  6. On a preheated griddle or tawa and cook the paratha by applying ghee evenly till both sides are cooked and golden brown in colour.
  7. Serve it hot with honey.
