Relishing butter soft Naan is not only possible in dhabas and restaurants, it is possible to have it at comforts of your home, enjoying with your family watching a football match or a fiction movie. I bet it comes out way more yummy, super soft and melt in mouth than we have outside. I have stuffed with paneer filling so, it doesn't need any gravy curry to go with. I served as lunch to my family with my 'Restaurant style creamy Masoor dal'

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Dough; 2 cups All purpose flour
  2. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  3. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  4. 1 teaspoon salt
  5. 1 teaspoon powdered sugar
  6. 1/4 cup curd, thick
  7. Water to knead the dough
  8. Stuffing; 100 grams paneer grated
  9. 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
  10. 1 tablespoons finely chopped Coriander leaves
  11. 1/2 teaspoon Coriander powder
  12. 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  13. 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala
  14. 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  15. Salt to taste
  16. Pinch of turmeric
  17. Making; some dry flour
  18. 2 teaspoons oil
  19. 2 tablespoons Black Caraway seeds
  20. 2-3 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves
  21. 8-10 cloves of garlic chopped
  22. 2-3 tablespoons butter to apply on naan

Instructions

  1. TAKE 2 CUPS ALL PURPOSE FLOUR, ADD 1/2 TSP EACH OF BAKING SODA & BAKING POWDER
  2. ADD 1 TSP EACH OF SALT & POWDERED SUGAR, MIX
  3. ADD 1/4 CUP THICK CURD, MIX WELL
  4. ADD WATER AS REQUIRED & KNEAD INTO A SOFT DOUGH
  5. GREASE WITH 1 TSP OIL, COVER & SET ASIDE FOR 1.5-2 HOURS
  6. TAKE 100 GMS GRATED COTTAGE CHEESE, ADD 2 TBSP CHOPPED ONIONS, 1 TBSP CHOPPED FRESH CORIANDER
  7. ADD SALT, 1/2 TSP EACH OF RED CHILLI, GARAM MASALA, CORIANDER & TURMERIC POWDERS
  8. ADD 1/2 TSP CHAT MASALA, MIX WELL, THE STUFFING IS READY
  9. TAKE A SMALL BALL OF THE READY DOUGH, ROLL OUT INTO A POORI
  10. PLACE 2-3 TBSP READY STUFFING IN THE CENTRE
  11. CLOSE & SEAL THE EDGES
  12. SPRINKLE DRY FLOUR, ROLL IT OUT AGAIN
  13. SMEAR 1 TSP GHEE, SPRINKLE SOME CORIANDER LEAVES & BLACK CARAWAY SEEDS, DRY FLOUR, INVERT & ROLL OUT
  14. INVERT THE TAVA UPSIDE DOWN, KEEP TO HEAT
  15. TAP THE SURFACE OF NAAN WITH WET HANDS, PLACE IT ON THE TAVA LIKE THIS, COOK FOR 1-1.5 MINS
  16. LIFT THE TAVA, COOK THE NAAN DIRECTLY OVER THE FLAME AT A 3 INCH DISTANCE
  17. THE NAAN IS READY, SMEAR BUTTER ON TOP, SERVE HOT
