About Hasselback potato Recipe

This is easy and intreasting dish which is crisp outside and tender from inside .

Ingredients to make Hasselback potato

  • 5 potatoes
  • 3 tbs olive oil
  • 2 tea spoon butter
  • 1/2 tea spoon chilli flax
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tea spoon basil leaves
  • 1/2 tea spoon black pepper
  • 2 slice cheese

How to make Hasselback potato

  1. Preheat the oven to 225 degrees C.
  2. Wash and peel the potatoes and pat dry with paper towels. keep aside .
  3. Stir together the butter, olive oil and some salt and pepper in a small bowl.
  4. Place a potato between the handles of 2 knifes. Slice the potato into thin slices, leaving 1/4 inch at the bottom unsliced
  5. Put the potatoes on a baking sheet and brush on the oil butter mixture, making sure to get in between all the slices.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil . Bake 30 minutes.
  7. Now uncover it and again brush with butter , olive oil , red chilli flax salt and fresh basil leaves.
  8. Bake at 200 °C until tender and crisp , 20 minutes .
  9. Lastly add some cheese on it and again bake at 200C until cooked all the way through or cheese melted .
  10. Serve warm .

My Tip:

You can use any herb ,cheese and masalasa in it .
