Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 8 to 10 slices of white bread
  2. 2 tbsp of butter
  3. 1 ltr full cream milk
  4. 1/2 cup cream
  5. 100 Gms grated paneer
  6. 1cup Nolen gur( Khajur gur)
  7. Pistachios

Instructions

  1. Directions Boil the milk and reduce it to half , to this thickened milk add cream and stir. Add the Gur and stir till it melts completely. Add the grated paneer stir it and switch off the gas.
  2. Meanwhile cut off the bread sides from all four sides, toast it to just crisp but not brown. Cut them diagonally. On a tawa or pan put some butter and place the bread pieces and make them brown and crispy.
  3. Plate these bread pieces on a shallow baking dish and pour the milk mixture. Bake this at 180 degrees for 15 mins in a pre heated oven.
  4. The bread gets soaked but a corner which is not submerged in milk remains crunchy. Decorate with pistachio and rose petals or as desired.
