ABOUT Kung Pao Tofu n Broccoli Served with Rice RECIPE

Tofu and Brocolli make for a very healthy combination. Rich in protein and mineral and also Vegan.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Broccoli Florets 2 cups
  2. Tofu Cubes 250 grams
  3. Carrot Slices 2
  4. Chopped Garlic 2 tsp
  5. Chopped Spring Onions 2 tbsp
  6. Dark Soy Sauce 2 tbsp
  7. Tomato Sauce 1/2 cup
  8. Chili Sauce 1 tbsp
  9. Vinegar 1 tbsp
  10. Worchester Sauce 2 tbsp
  11. Salt and sugar To taste
  12. Water 1 glass
  13. Corn flour 2 tbsp
  14. Oil 3 tbsp
  15. Roasted and Crushed Peanuts 2 tbsp
  16. Dry Red Chillies 2

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a non stick pan.
  2. Add tofu cubes and cook on all sides till golden.
  3. Heat another 1 tbsp oil in the same pan.
  4. Add broccoli , cover with lid till it turns soft. Turn occasionally to prevent burning.

  6. In a deep flat pan, heat remaining 1 tbsp oil.
  7. Add chopped garlic and spring onions and dry red chili.
  8. Mix all the sauces with corn flour and water.
  9. Add to pan and bring it to simmer.
  10. Add tofu , broccoli and carrots .
  11. Add salt and sugar to taste and cook till you get the desired consistency to go well with steamed rice.
  12. In the end, add some roasted and crushed peanuts. Serve hot with steamed rice
