This is an Australian dessert. First a sponge cake ia made. Then the cake will be cut into pieces and dipped in melted chocolate. Then these pieces will be coated with coconut for a perfect taste, crunch and texture. It tastes devine.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Ingredients for sponge cake:
  2. All purpose flour 130 gram
  3. sugar 50 gram
  4. Condenced milk 100 ml
  5. Baking powder 1 tea spoon
  6. Baking soda 1 pinch
  7. Butter/oil 3/4 cup
  8. Vanilla essence 1 tea spoon
  9. Juice of beetroot 2 table spoon for colour
  10. Other Ingredients:
  11. Dark chocolate compound 200 gram
  12. Dessicated coconut 1 cup


  1. Sieve all purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda 2-3 times.
  2. With a electric beater beat condensed milk, sugar, oil/butter, vanilla and the beetroot juice until well combined.
  3. Preheat the oven 180 Celsius for 10 minutes. Both rod on.
  4. Add dry ingredients to wet and mix.
  5. Do not over mix.
  6. Bake the cake for 25-30 minutes, lower rod on until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. After cool down, cut the cake into small pieces.
  8. Melt the chocolate.
  9. Dip the cake pieces into the chocolate.
  10. Cover from all sides.
  11. Sprinkle dessicated coconut all over it.
  12. Keep in freezer for let it set.
  13. Take out of the freezer after completely set and enjoy Australian Lamington.
