ABOUT Chocolate Torte RECIPE

Chocolate Torte is a delightful dessert with it's attractive appearance and wonderful taste.Chocolate Torte is made with a simple Pound cake which is delicately cut into layers and frosted with chocolate frosting and topped with roasted almond flakes and finally garnished with fresh cherries and lemon leaves.

Ingredients Serving: 7

  1. For Pound Cake
  2. Eggs 4
  3. Powdered sugar 1 cup
  4. Vegetable oil 1 cup
  5. Curd 1 cup
  6. All purpose flour 11/2 cup
  7. Baking powder 1 tablespoon
  8. Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon
  9. For Chocolate Frosting
  10. Whipping cream 11/2 cup
  11. Icing sugar 6 tablespoon
  12. Cocoa powder 6 tablespoon
  13. For Garnishing
  14. Almond flakes 3/4 cup
  15. Fresh cherries few
  16. Lemon leaves few

Instructions

  1. ADD 4 EGGS AND 1 CUP POWDERED SUGAR.
  2. WHISK TILL IT COMBINES WELL.
  3. THE MIXTURE HAS TO BE IN CREAMY CONSISTENCY.
  4. ADD 1 CUP OIL,2 LEMON ZEST,
  5. 1 CUP CURD AND 1 TEASPOON VANILLA ESSENCE.
  6. WHISK IT UNTIL EVERYTHING COMBINES WELL.
  7. SIFT ALL PURPOSE FLOUR AND BAKING POWDER TOGETHER.
  8. GENTLY FOLD THE DRY INGREDIENTS TO THE WET.
  9. WHEN IT COMBINED REMOVE THE SPATULA.
  10. WHISK IN AN ELECTRIC MIXER FOR FEW SECONDS.
  11. POUND CAKE BATTER IS READY TO BAKE.
  12. GREASE A LOAF TIN WELL AND PLACE A PARCHMENT PAPER BELOW.POUR THE CAKE BATTER.
  13. TAP THE TIN ON BOTH THE SIDES.
  14. PREHEAT THE OVEN AT 180 DEGREE CENTIGRADE AND BAKE FOR 40 MINUTES OR TILL THE CAKE IS DONE.
  15. PIERCE THE CAKE IN CENTER TO CHECK THE CAKE IS BAKED.
  16. ROAST ALMONDS FLAKES FOR 5 MINUTES OR TILL IT TURNS GOLDEN BROWN.
  17. LET IT COOL.
  18. DEMOULD CAKE AND REMOVE PARCHMENT PAPER.
  19. CUT THE CAKE LENGTH WISE.
  20. CUT INTO THREE PIECES.
  21. IN A CLEAN DRY BOWL ADD 11/2 CUP WHIPPING CREAM.
  22. WHISK UNTIL SOFT PEAKS.
  23. SOFT PEAKS IS ACHIEVED.
  24. ADD 6 TABLESPOON COCOA POWDER AND 6 TABLESPOON ICING SUGAR TO THE WHIPPING CREAM.
  25. WHISK WELL.
  26. WHISK TILL STIFF PEAKS FORM.
  27. APPLY THE CHOCOLATE WHIPPED CREAM ON THE SIDES OF THE CAKE PIECE.
  28. APPLY EVENLY WITH OFF SET SPATULA.
  29. PLACE THE SECOND LAYER FIRMLY.
  30. APPLY CHOCOLATE FROSTING.
  31. SPREAD EVENLY.
  32. PLACE THE LAST LAYER AND APPLY THE FINAL CHOCOLATE FROSTING.
  33. TRANSFER THE CHOCOLATE TORTE TO A SERVING DISH FLATLY.
  34. SPRINKLE THE ROASTED ALMOND FLAKES EVENLY.
  35. PACK THE ALMOND FLAKES ON ALL SIDES.
  36. LET IT REST FOR 15 MINUTES TO SET.
  37. GARNISH IT WITH CHERRIES AND LEMON LEAVES.
  38. LIP SMACKING DELICIOUS CHOCOLATE TORTE IS PERFECT FOR ALL PARTIES.
  39. WITH A HELP OF A SERRATED KNIFE,SLICE THE CHOCOLATE TORTE.
  40. PERFECT THREE LAYERED CHOCOLATE TORTE IS READY TO SERVE.
