ABOUT Kadai Panner RECIPE

This is a simple and tasty dish made of panner and capsicum.Goes well with chapati,naan or jeera rice.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Panner 12 cubes.
  2. 1 medium capsicum cubed.
  3. 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste.
  4. Paste of 1 big onion and 3 medium tomatoes.
  5. 1 onion diced.
  6. 1" bay leaf.
  7. 1 green chilli.
  8. 1 tesp kasuri methi
  9. 1 /2 tesp turmeric powder.
  10. 1 tesp chilli powder.
  11. Salt as per taste.
  12. 3 tbsp cream.
  13. 2 tesp chopped cilantro.
  14. 1 tbsp butter.
  15. 1 cup water.
  16. For masala powder.
  17. 1 tbsp coriander seeds.
  18. 1 tesp cumin seeds.
  19. 1 tesp pepper.
  20. 4 red dry chilli.

Instructions

  1. Make a powder out of the masala powder ingredients.
  2. Place Kadai on medium heat.
  3. Add butter ,once it melts add bay leaf and green chilli.
  4. Add kasuri methi, and saute.
  5. Drop in the diced onion and capsicum,saute for a minute.
  6. Add turmeric,chilli powder,salt , onion tomato paste and ginger garlic paste.
  7. Saute for a minute.
  8. Add the masala powder and a cup of water.mix well.
  9. Add in the panner ,cream and let simmer for 5 minutes till thick.
  10. Garnish with cilantro.
  11. Serve hot with chapati, naan or jeera rice.
