This is a south arabian desert..almost similar to rava cake ...very delicious made

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 200 gram melted butter
  2. 250 gram condensed milk
  3. 4 tablespoons yoghurt
  4. 1&1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  5. 2 cups semolina
  6. 1 cup grinded almonds
  7. 250 mililitre water
  8. For syrup...
  9. 1.5 cup sugar
  10. 1&1/2 cup water
  11. 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  12. 2 teaspoons rose water or kewra water
  13. 1/2 cups soaked then blanched almonds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven at 180 degree Celsius
  2. Combine butter and condensed milk
  3. Add semolina ,ground almonds and baking soda in this mixture
  4. Add water and curd
  5. Mix well
  6. Pour in greased tin
  7. Bake in preheated oven at 180 degree for 30 minutes
  8. Meanwhile make the sugar syrup by adding sugar and water in a saucepan at medium heat for 8 minutes
  9. Add lemon juice and rose water after removing from heat
  10. When cake is done golden remove from oven
  11. Pour sugar syrup all over it
  12. Refrigerate to cool down completely
  13. Cut into diamond shape pieces
  14. garnish with whole almonds
