Traditional Gujarati Sweets..make From Roasted Besan-Ghee Mixture & Sweetend with Sugar syrup.. into Fudge like texture.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 500 gm Besan Coarse Flour (Ready available)
  2. 250 gm Khoya (Mawa) unsweetened
  3. 400gm Amul Ghee
  4. 500 gm Sugar
  5. 250ml water
  6. A pinch of Saffron flakes
  7. Cardamom powder as required
  8. Almonds and Pistachio flakes as required

Instructions

  1. In Kadhai add &Melt Amul Ghee.Add Coarse Besan flour..Mix well
  2. On slow flame Roast this Besan-Ghee Mixture for 25 mins..it will pinkish in colour.Add crumble Khoya.Mix well.
  3. Add Saffron flakes and mix well.
  4. Roast this mixture for 10mins till golden brown in colour..nice Aroma comes.Off the Flame.
  5. In another Kadhai add Sugar and water.Boil on Medium flame..till you get 11/2 strings sticky syrup.
  6. Add this Prepared Sugar syrup to Roasted Besan-Ghee Mixture.Mix well.
  7. Few minutes again on slow flame.. THICKEN.the Mixture for 5mins.
  8. Pour this Prepared Mohanthal in grease Thali.
  9. Sprinkle Cardamom powder and Almonds Pistachio flakes.
  10. Cool completely before cutting into required shapes.Store in Airtight container.
