its a chocolate sponge cake without egg and has a ganache icing which is very glossy.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 1.5 cups -maida
  2. 3 cups-powdered sugar
  3. 1cup- unsweetened cocoa
  4. 1cup-olive oil
  5. 3cups-water
  6. 3teaspoon-baking soda
  7. 1/2 -teaspoon-salt
  8. 3 teaspoon vanilla extract
  9. for Ganache
  10. 110 gms- semisweet chocolate
  11. 2tablespoon-unsalted butter
  12. 1/4 cup-milk

Instructions

  1. preheat oven at 350•f and prepare a cake tin by greasing oil and sprinkling flour.
  2. take a bowl and sieve maida, salt, baking soda and cocoa powder.
  3. In another bowl mix water , sugar ,vanilla extract and oil
  4. now add oil mixture to flour.lightly mix the batter.
  5. now add the batter in cake tin and bake for 1 hr
  6. for ganache chop chocolate and place it in a bowl and microwave it for few seconds.in a pan add milk and butter and boil it.
  7. now add milk mixture slowly to chocolate and mix it till it becomes smooth silky and glossy.
  8. it should be of pouring consistency.
  9. after cake is baked cool it completely and cut off the hard layer.
  10. pour ganache on top of cake and with the help of hot knife level it on top and sides of cake.
  11. decorate it as you want.refrigerate it till ganache is settled.
