About Baked Samosa Recipe

Baked samosa is one of my innovative recipe. Normally we fry the samosa in oil but here I have baked it for something innovation.

Baked Samosa

Ingredients to make Baked Samosa

  • A) For filling
  • 1 cup boiled and mashed potatoes
  • 1/2 cup boiled green peas
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 tbsp ginger & Garlic paste
  • 1/4 tsp green chilli paste
  • 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seed
  • Pinch of asafoetida
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp lemon Juice
  • Pinch of papper powder
  • Pinch of balck salt
  • salt as per taste
  • handful coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp butter/oil
  • B) For Dough
  • 1 and 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp carom seeds
  • 4 tbsp butter/ghee
  • water as require
  • C) for baking
  • 1/2 cup melted butter

How to make Baked Samosa

  1. First heat butter butter in pan.
  2. Now add mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
  3. After crackle mustard and cumin seeds add a Pinch of asafoetida.
  4. Now add ginger garlic paste and green chilli paste and mix it well.
  5. Now add chopped onion.
  6. Cook it until brown.
  7. Now add mashed potatoes and boiled peas.
  8. Mix it well.
  9. Add red chilli powder, termaric powder, Coridender powder and garam malasa mix it well.
  10. Add pepper powder and black salt.
  11. Add salt as per taste.
  12. Add lemon juice.
  13. Coming it well.
  14. Now add handful coriander leaves and mix it well.
  15. Cook it for 2 minutes and keep aside.
  16. Now take a bowl.
  17. Add all purpose flour, salt, butter, carom seeds and mix it well.
  18. You can also use cumin seeds.
  19. Now kneed a smooth dough using water.
  20. Now make Medium size balls.
  21. Take a ball and make round shape roti.
  22. Add the filling into it
  23. Wrap the samosa as you like.
  24. Here I have wrapped using 2 layer.
  25. Outer layer is designed (strips) and inner one is simple.
  26. After wrapping preheat the oven 180°.
  27. Now greas the wrapped samosa.
  28. Bake it for 15-20 minutes.
  29. After baking serve hot.

My Tip:

Here I have baked the samosa for delicious taste. You can also fry it in oil.
