ABOUT Pav/Buns RECIPE

I always wanted to bake these beauties since I saw them in many food group but did not know how to start. Finally, Yaman Agarwal from cookingshooking came with this lovely and easy recipe. So here I am presenting my part of this beautiful goodies. Have made them n number of times now. And baking them means lovely aroma in my kitchen. Just in love with them and yes no one can eat just one :D

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. All purpose flour/ Maida - 2 cups
  2. Butter - 4 tsp
  3. Warm Milk - 1 cup
  4. Milk powder - 1 1/2 tbsp
  5. Salt - 1 tsp
  6. Sugar - 1 tbsp
  7. Instant yeast - 2 tsp
  8. Milk and butter for brushing.

Instructions

  1. Mix milk, sugar and yeast. Stir well. Leave it for 10 mins to bloom till it is frothy.
  2. Add salt, milk powder and flour in a bowl, mix well. Add the yeast mixture and knead it to a dough. Add milk if needed (The dough will be sticky. But do not add any flour.)
  3. Add the butter and knead for 15 mins till it becomes smooth.
  4. Transfer the dough to an oiled bowl and cover it. Let it rest for 2 hours in a warm place to double its volume.
  5. Place it on a smooth well floured surface and knead for another 10 mins.
  6. Divide the dough into equal portions and shape them as you desire.
  7. Grease a baking dish and arrange them close in it so that they touch each other.
  8. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for another 1 hour.
  9. Preheat the oven at 200c at convection mode. Brush the buns with milk and bake until the top is brown in color, about 15 mins.
  10. When done, remove the dish from oven and brush some butter on the buns.
  11. Buns are ready to enjoy!
