Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chicken drumsticks 8 nos
  2. Barbecue sauce 1/2 cup
  3. Tomato puree 3 tbsps
  4. Garlic cloves grated 4 nos
  5. Mustard 1 tbsp
  6. Cayenne Pepper or Kashmiri Chilli powder 2 tsps
  7. Brown sugar or honey 2 tbsps
  8. Oregano 2 tsps
  9. Olive oil 2 tbsps
  10. Salt 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. 1. Wash and clean the chicken drumsticks. Price well with a fork or make cuts with a sharp knife to allow marinade to infuse well.
  2. 2. Make the marinade: Mix all the ingredients and stir well till brown sugar dissolves .
  3. 3. Marinate the chicken drumsticks for 20 mins.
  4. 4. Remove drumsticks from the marinade, shake of any excess marinade (reserve the marinade for later). Using strips of aluminum foil, cover the bone of the drumsticks.
  5. 5. Grill the drumsticks on a hot grill pan, about 5 mins turning to get a nice charred colour on the chicken.
  6. 6. Remove from grill pan and transfer drumsticks to a foil lined baking tray. Pour over the reserved marinade on equally on the drumsticks and bake at 200 degrees for approximately 15 to 20 mins, turning legs once (depending on the size of the drumsticks) till cooked through.
  7. Serve hot with garlic bread.
