Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Rice 2 cups
  2. Bay leaves 1
  3. Cloves 2 - 3
  4. Cinnamon
  5. Green cardamoms 2 - 3
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Cashew nuts 9 - 10
  8. Raisins 14 - 15
  9. Butter as required
  10. Onion 2 (cut length wise )

Instructions

  1. was and drain the Rice and keep aside for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat pan with butter and take onion. Fry it till turns brown and keep aside.
  3. Now add bay leaves, cloves, green cardamoms, cinnamon.
  4. Add cashew nuts and fry it.
  5. Add half of fried onion.
  6. Now add rice and mix well with all the ingredients..
  7. Add water and salt .
  8. Keep lid on the pan and cook for 10 - 14 minutes.
  9. Open the lid and check the rice. If it is done mix the (half) fried onion and raisins to the rice.
  10. Put the lid on the pan and switch off the gas. Let it cook in its own steam.
  11. Serve it.
